How rare is it that a light fixture puts you on the spot by being so personable? The Oyster wall, designed by Jette Scheib for Forestier, does just that with its all-seeing eye. At first glance, it may convince you it is made of metal, but the shade is fashioned from cotton. This is just one of the surprises it has in store as it unflinchingly produces light: in spite of its clean lines, the creator says the seriously contemporary fixture has a tremendously playful spirit. In her mind, it is like an oyster with a pearl, organic in its geometry with precious light at its heart. The Wall Light is available in black.
