Discovering a simple mechanical detail used to extend the height of objects while working with a blacksmith, the Danish design studio Krøyer-Sætter-Lassen put the small yet significant detail to work as a key element of the new Duca candleholder by Menu Design now Audo Copenhagen. Challenging the typically static silhouette of the object, the screw function allows users to personalize the height of the candleholder by extending or shortening its length. Available in polished or bronzed brass entwined with rattan, Duca pairs contrasting natural materials to create a tactile addition to Audo Copenhagen’s collection of interior objects.
